eir business talent is seeking applications for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, this is a permanent opportunity with our client in Dublin, the role is hybrid.

Must have CISSP or CISM Certification.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Writing & Peer Review: Draft, review, and provide peer feedback on comprehensive reports for clients, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients through 1:1 meetings and communication, understanding their needs and providing tailored cybersecurity solutions.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor staff, assist in business development efforts, and manage multiple clients and projects.
  • Information Security Manager/Officer Tasks: Act as an information security officer/manager for clients, managing security policies, conducting tabletop exercises, leading clients in obtaining professional certifications such as ISO27001, drafting board reports, and presenting findings to the board.
  • Audit Leadership: Lead ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials, SOC 1, SOC 2 Type audits, DORA and NIS2, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Security Framework Development: Develop and implement security frameworks, policies, and procedures, performing gap analyses and security risk assessments.
  • Vulnerability Management: Manage vulnerability management programs, conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like tenable, and provide actionable reporting.
  • Incident Response: Provide leadership in incident response efforts, ensuring swift and effective action in the event of security breaches.
  • Cloud and Platform Review: Conduct in-depth reviews of Microsoft 365, AWS, and Azure environments, identifying security gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilise knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, and firewall reviews to assess and enhance client security measures.
  • GDPR Advisory: Provide expert advice on GDPR compliance, including the development of policies, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver security awareness and GDPR awareness training tailored to client needs, enhancing their knowledge and compliance.
  • Research & Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and technologies, applying this knowledge to client solutions and internal processes.

 
Qualifications: 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Must have CISSP or CISM. Other certifications such CISA, CIPP/E, CIPM will be an advantage. Additional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, CompTIA, or CEH are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management/ Consultancy, with a proven track record in implementing and managing security frameworks and conducting audits.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, CIS18, DORA, NIS2, and Cyber Essentials frameworks. Proficiency in Mircosoft 365, AWS, Azure, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing cybersecurity projects, scoping work, and delivering on time and within budget.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead client security/ IT teams, mentor staff, and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to achieve security objectives.
