Overview
eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Cyber Security Assurance Specialist. This is a day contract rate position located with our client in Dublin 8. This is a hybrid role with 2 required onsite per week.
This is a high-profile role focused on providing cybersecurity oversight across large-scale operational and commercial technology environments, ensuring security services, controls, and vendors operate in line with regulatory, contractual, and industry best practice requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead cyber security assurance activities across multiple operational environments
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of security service providers and technology partners
- Drive compliance with frameworks and standards including NIS2, ISO 27001, and NIST
- Conduct and review cyber risk assessments, vulnerability findings, and remediation activities
- Develop and enhance cyber security policies, governance frameworks, and security strategies
- Provide board-level reporting on cyber risk, resilience, and assurance activities
- Collaborate with Information Security, GRC, operational teams, and external stakeholders
- Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Security Assurance
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing vendors, suppliers, and outsourced security services
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Background in hands-on cyber security with progression into advisory, assurance, consultancy, or SME-level responsibilities
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar desirable
