eir business talent are seeking applications for a Senior Business Analyst, this is a 12month day rate contract, the client works a hybrid model of 2 days per week onsite in either Dublin or Shannon offices (depending on candidate preference)
Essential Functions
- Be able to organise & run discovery sessions/workshops with senior stakeholders, resolve business process issues and disconnects across business lines, navigate silos and align to a company target operating model
- Navigate complexity, work proactively and autonomously
- Excellent at building and maintaining business relationships and managing expectations
- Balance business requirements and overall product strategy
- Strong analysis and requirements gathering skills
- Develop a strong understanding of existing system and application landscape, as a building block for future solutions
- Prepare accurate and detailed high-level estimates as part of programme planning
- Communicate effectively with the business and delivery teams
- Adhere to a well-defined SCRUM process
- Coordinate with the business users who test and evaluate applications in conjunction with developers and testers where appropriate
Experience Required:
- Experience working as a business analyst or product owner focused on requirements gathering, workshops, analysis and challenging existing processes for inefficiencies within a greenfield implementation
- Must have experience of working in a large delivery programme
- Must be a self-starter and exhibit intellectual curiosity
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently while maintaining strong team relations
- Excellent time and work management skills, able to prioritise competing demands from conflicting sources
- Advanced skills with data analysis and problem solving?
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders including C-Suite members
- Experience of working remotely with a diverse team across multiple locations and vendors
- Experience of estimating effort and input into project planning
- Experience in Application Support and Training
- Educated to a degree level in Information Technology or Sciences
Technical/Functional
- Process Modelling (e.g. BPMN)
- Agile & SCRUM Methodologies
- Critical thinking
- UX design practices a distinct advantage
- Experience throughout the entire software development life cycle
- Good understanding of conceptual data modelling
- Good understanding of Financial Services sector a distinct advantage
Client Relationships
- Excellent English language skills (both written and verbal)
- Well-developed stakeholder, vendor and partner management
- Strong relationship building skills
- Positive, can-do attitude towards a very demanding internal customer base
- Consistently and continuously delivering change and value to the business
