Overview

Our Dublin based client is looking for an experienced Network Support Engineer to provide operational support, administration, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and networking environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of hybrid cloud and on-premises systems while delivering effective incident resolution and technical support. 

  • Daily rate contract 
  • Location: Dublin
  • Hybrid attendance pattern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain Azure, VMware, Windows Server, and enterprise network environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve network and system issues.
  • Manage firewalls, security controls, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and support change management activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.

Key Professional Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Network Support Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure administration and architecture, VMware administration, Windows Server administration, and enterprise networking.
  • Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience working within operational support and incident management environments.

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or equivalent industry certifications are desirable
