Senio Business Analyst
12 month contract
Daily rate contract with extension
Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

eir business talent have partnered with a large public‑sector organisation seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to support major digital and business transformation initiatives.
This role will focus on analysing and streamlining business processes, defining clear business and technical requirements, and supporting the delivery of robust, scalable IT solutions across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document current‑state and future‑state business processes
  • Lead business requirements gathering, workshops and stakeholder engagement
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Support project definition, impact assessments, risk analysis and feasibility studies
  • Work across the full SDLC, supporting design, testing (UAT), change management and post go‑live activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate closely with PMO, technical teams, developers and senior stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment with architecture, security and technical design standards

Experience required:

  • 7+ years experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
  • Proven background working on complex IT or digital transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid)
  • Experience with system integration, APIs and UAT
  • Ability to produce high‑quality business requirements and traceability (RTM)
  • Strong process mapping and analysis skills (Lean experience an advantage)
