eir business talent is seeking applications for a Security Business Analyst, this is a day rate contract located in Dublin.

The role is hybrid 2 days per week onsite.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Business Analyst to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of the data infrastructure. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders to the enhancement of the Data Security Platform (Purview). This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement expertise, and the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of an effective Data Security Platform, ensuring it meets organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to implement security enhancements and ensure ongoing protection of data assets.
  • Track and monitor remediation progress, providing regular updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop clear and concise reports, presentations, and documentation to support decision-making and compliance reporting.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive security improvements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging security threats.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experiencein a Business Analyst role, preferably in a security-focused environment.
  • Ideally a strong knowledge of security frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Experience working in a semi-state, government, or highly regulated environment is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools, data security technologies, and reporting frameworks.

Desirable Skills & Certifications:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologiesand compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
