Solution Architect
Location: Dublin City Centre (Hybrid – 50% Onsite / 50% Remote)
Contract Type: Long-term Day Rate Contract
Start Date: End of March 2026
Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate Solution Architect to join a large Irish public sector organisation on a long-duration day-rate contract. The role involves working across a portfolio of business-critical initiatives, delivering solution designs aligned to enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to solution architecture across multiple delivery streams
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements
- Design end-to-end IT solutions across application, integration, data, and UX layers
- Ensure alignment with architecture standards, patterns, and IT strategy
- Present solution designs to architectural governance forums
- Support and oversee solution implementation
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship
- Support project planning, estimation, and risk management activities
Mandatory Requirements
- 4–6 years experience working as a Solution Architect
- Degree or diploma qualification in IT or equivalent
- Strong experience delivering solution designs for complex business systems
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High level of written and verbal English (C2 proficiency if non-native)
- Availability to start end of March 2026
- Ability to work 50% onsite in Dublin city centre
Key Technical Experience
- Solution design across backend services, integrations, databases, and UX
- Microsoft technology stack exposure (.NET, C#, MS SQL Server)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform
- Strong documentation skills subject to architecture governance
Desirable Experience
- Cloud-native or hybrid solution design experience
- On-premise to cloud migration experience
- Architecture modelling tools (Sparx EA, ArchiMate, C4)
- Experience working in regulated or public sector environments
