eir business talent is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Cloud Services Administrator. This is a hybrid contract position located with our client in Meath.
Senior Cloud Services Administrator
Location : Co. Meath – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Duration : 36-month contract term + 12-month extension option X 1 (4Y in total)
Role : Keeps the cloud platforms running day‑to‑day, making sure systems are available, secure, backed up, and performing properly across cloud environments.
Skills and Competencies :
- Operation of cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and AWS, administering core services such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and native monitoring to support production workloads.
- Administration of Azure IaaS/PaaS and AWS infrastructure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backups, patching, and capacity management to maintain performance and availability.
- Implementation of access control and security monitoring using Azure AD (Entra ID), AWS IAM, and platform‑native logging and monitoring services to detect and respond to security events.
- Use of automation and scripting with tools such as PowerShell and cloud‑native automation services to reduce manual administration and optimise infrastructure usage.
- Support for hybrid cloud environments by operating cloud platforms alongside existing on‑premises or legacy systems during migration and coexistence phases.
- Application of high availability, backup, and recovery patterns within Azure and AWS to support service continuity and incident recovery objectives.
- Provision of embedded senior cloud administration, including production of operational documentation and runbooks, while working closely with IT management and internal teams.
- Production of security and compliance reports and maintenance of audit artefacts aligned to GDPR and public‑sector cloud governance requirements.
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Spousal, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
