Overview

eir business talent is looking to hire an experienced Senior BI Architect for a 12-month rolling contract position based in Dublin 8 operating on a hybrid working model (3 days onsite per week).
 
The Senior BI Architect is responsible for designing and delivering a modern Microsoft Fabric-based analytics platform. The role covers end-to-end BI architecture, including data ingestion, modelling, storage and reporting, ensuring scalable and governed enterprise data solutions on Azure.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end BI architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services
  • Define lakehouse, data warehouse, and semantic modelling structures (e.g., star schema)
  • Build and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Develop Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reporting solutions
  • Create reusable data models and curated data products
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are applied
  • Translate business requirements into BI solutions, KPIs and analytics outputs
  • Define BI architecture standards, principles and best practices
  • Ensure scalability, performance and alignment with enterprise architecture
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights

 Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in BI, Data Architecture or Analytics roles
  • Strong experience with Azure data platform and Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes and enterprise data modelling
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory and SQL
  • Experience with PySpark or Fabric notebooks
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality practices
  • Experience working with stakeholders in delivering BI solutions
