Overview
eir business talent is looking to hire an experienced SAP Technical Consultant for a 9-month contract position based in Dublin operating on a hybrid working model (3 days onsite per week)
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and resilience of SAP environments, with a strong focus on operational support, system administration and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level SAP BASIS support across production and non-production environments
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive issue identification
- Manage and maintain SAP system backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes
- Lead and execute system copies, refreshes, and client administration activities
- Respond to and remediate priority incidents, outages, and critical system failures within agreed SLAs
- Ensure SAP system security configuration and compliance with internal policies and best practices
- Support ongoing stability and reliability of enterprise SAP landscapes
- Collaborate closely with internal SAP technical teams and stakeholders
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex technical issues
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ hands-on experience as a SAP BASIS Consultant in enterprise environments
- Strong, demonstrable experience supporting both: SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Proven experience in SAP system monitoring, backups, restores, and system copies
- Strong background in SAP technical architecture and administration
- Experience handling high-priority incidents and system outages in live environments
- Ability to work independently and “hit the ground running” with minimal handover
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Spousal, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
