Project Engineer (Utilities) – Dublin Based
eir business talent are currently partnering with a leading utilities and infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Project Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering ESB, Uisce Éireann, and civil infrastructure projects across Dublin.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for supporting the delivery of utility and infrastructure projects from planning and coordination through to construction and commissioning.
You will play a key role in site engineering, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements
• Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer within utilities, ESB, telecoms, water, or infrastructure sectors
• Experience working within live utility environments desirable
• Experience with ESB Networks, utility ducting, cable installation, substations, or public realm works beneficial
• Knowledge of permit systems, traffic management, and utility coordination advantageous
• Strong experience in site engineering, setting out, and technical support
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, crews, and stakeholders
• Strong focus on health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance
• Commercial awareness including variations, change management, and reporting
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Full clean driving licence
• Safe Pass and relevant utility certifications desirable
