eir business talent is currently seeking applicants for Power BI Consultant for our client based in Dublin   
 
Power BI Consultant

Location: Dublin – 3 days onsite (hybrid)
Contract Type: 24-month with further extension to 24 months

Key Deliverables apply to these roles:

  • Provide administration support on the Power BI platform.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Power BI administration & development when required by Business Units.
  • The provision of regular project status reports to management.
  • Liaise with the business owners to monitor and report on project progression.
  • Identify data requirements and data sources and engage with data owners and stakeholders to ensure data access and ingestion.
  • Assist with the design and/or development of new data products (including but not limited to; statistical models, dashboards, data visualisations and query tools using ‘out of the box’ or bespoke software) to best meet the requirements of Business Divisions and to maximise capabilities of available tools.
  • Demonstrate and make available high quality and best in class data products both internally within and externally to the wider public.
  • Presentation of findings through reports, dashboards and visualisation tools to key stakeholders.
  • Write and provide documentation including functional & technical specification and user guides or any supporting documentation required by the business owner.
  • Maintenance and support of analytical products throughout their life cycle.

Key Experience :

  • Experience in publishing Power BI dashboards for organisational and public use.
  • Experience in the administration of Power BI dashboards regarding access to the dashboard and ensuring data refresh is up to date.
  • Experience in the use of varied data sources including Database/Data Warehouse, Atlassian Jira, external websites.
  • Experience in the use of APIs to access data from a variety of sources including Database/Data Warehouse, Atlassian Jira, external websites.
  • Experience in providing data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
  • Ability to review available data, search and identify patterns that could indicate new insights.
  • Experience in writing and providing documentation including functional and technical specification and user guides or any supporting documentation required by the business owner.
  • Experience of end-to-end project completion, designing, testing, building, and demonstrating best-in-class models, dashboards and visualisations using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience of working within a Public Service Body to develop insights for data driven policy development.

 
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Dependant, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
