IT Infrastructure Compliance Specialist
- Day rate contract with our client in Cork
- Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Initially the first 6 weeks will be fully onsite)
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Compliance Specialist to support their IT Infrastructure Team in aligning with regulatory and operational frameworks, including NIS2.0.
This role involves defining and tracking required changes to operational practices, managing evidence collection, and facilitating internal and external audit processes.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience working in IT environments with compliance controls and IT Audits.
- Strong analytical skills to assess evidence completeness and relevance.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS, virtualization, and networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4, LAN/WAN).
- In-depth knowledge of NIS2.0 and related compliance frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and compliance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Audit Support
- Conduct gap analysis between NIS2.0 requirements and current practices.
- Track and report on compliance progress.
- Maintain a prioritised backlog of remediation tasks from audits and pen tests.
- Serve as the primary liaison between compliance and infrastructure teams.
- Respond to compliance requests and audit queries in a timely manner.
Documentation & Evidence Management
- Support the creation of required documentation.
- Identify, collect, and maintain evidence for security controls.
- Manage records in the evidence locker.
- Address queries related to evidence and documentation.
Risk & Process Improvement
- Escalate risks to infrastructure management and maintain the risk register.
- Improve compliance workflows and support reporting requirements.
