Overview
eir business is currently recruiting for a GIS Professional to join our clients team on a contracted basis.
- This is a day rate contract role
- Hybrid working arrangement
- Dublin based – (Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm).
Duties will include:
- Carrying out core GIS tasks (system administration, service development, data management and collection, data analysis)
- Act as point of contact Where applicable, responsibilities may include liaising with external organisations to ensure effective import and export of information.
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 5 years GIS Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with ESRI technology
- A 3rd level qualification e.g., degree/HND or equivalent in a subject which included a significant element of GIS
- The successful candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English (A minimum of CEFR C1 level
Characteristics will include:
- A thorough understanding of the Client’s GIS technology platform including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise/ Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Desktop and Pro at current revision levels
- Experience of ArcGIS Online Administration and ArcGIS Online Applications; including Experience Builder, Web App Builder, Hub, Dashboards, and Story Maps
- Experience in the design and implementation of GIS solutions using Model Builder and Python Scripting;
- General application of GIS technology and data;
- Cartography and map representation;
- Expertise in best current practice in data management and analysis
- Setting up working projects with the Client’s Staff;
- Skills transfer and training;
- On-site problem solving and development;
- Experience of completing tasks to achieve time, cost and quality targets
- Familiarity with Irish Local Authority Planning data
- FME
- Strong troubleshooting skills
