ERP Director – Strategic Leadership Role (Dynamics 365 Focus) 
 
Overview 
We are seeking an experienced ERP Director to lead enterprise-wide ERP strategy and delivery, with a strong initial focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and related platforms). This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving digital transformation, establishing governance, and overseeing large-scale ERP and CRM initiatives across multiple regions. 
 
The role will play a key part in stabilising, optimising, and scaling Dynamics 365 as a core enterprise platform, while maintaining responsibility for the broader ERP landscape. 
 
Core Responsibilities 
Strategic Leadership 

  • Define and execute ERP and Dynamics 365 strategy aligned with long-term businessobjectives.
  • Provide strategic ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including roadmap definition, adoption, andoptimisation.
  • Evaluate and recommend ERP and CRM solutions, enhancements, integrations, and future platform evolution.
  • Champion ERP- and CRM-enabled digital transformation, driving operational efficiency, data visibility, and improved customer and commercial outcomes.

 
Governance & Oversight 

  • Establishgovernance frameworks for ERP and Dynamics 365 usage, data integrity, compliance, and risk management. 
  • Own Dynamics 365 platform governance, including environment strategy, release management, and data standards.
  • Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and strategic partners, including Microsoft and Dynamics implementation partners.
  • Monitorsystem performance, scalability, security, and availability across ERP and CRM platforms. 
  • Maintainaccountability for business-as-usual (BAU) operations and change management, with particular emphasis on Dynamics CRM. 

 
Project & Delivery Leadership 

  • Lead enterprise-wide Dynamics 365programmes, including CRMoptimisation, functional expansion, integrations, and upgrades. 
  • Oversee ERP initiatives such as implementations, upgrades, and system integrations, ensuring alignment with the Dynamics roadmap.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between IT, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer teams to resolve system challenges.
  • Support business case development andprioritisationto validate ROI on Dynamics and ERP initiatives. 
  • Ensureappropriate resourcing, capability, and delivery governance across all ERP and CRMprogrammes. 

 
Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Act as a senior liaison between business leaders and IT delivery teams, with strong engagement across commercial and customer-facing functions heavily reliant on Dynamics CRM.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders toidentify,prioritise, and forecast Dynamics 365 enhancements that support revenue growth and customer experience. 
  • Provide thought leadership on Microsoft Dynamics, ERP trends, and best-practice enterprise platform adoption.

 
Team Leadership & Capability Development 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ERP and Dynamics delivery function.
  • Ensure effective training and enablement for both Dynamics 365 users and technical teams.
  • Foster collaboration between internal teams and external partners tomaximiseplatform utilisation and value realisation. 

 
Key Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to link Dynamics CRM capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Senior leadership and stakeholder management across enterprise environments.
  • Proven financial, vendor, and contract managementexpertise.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at executive level.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on innovation and platform maturity.
  • Proficiencywith BI and reporting tools (Power BI strongly preferred). 
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks (GDPR, SOX,GxPwhere applicable). 
  • Expertise inenterprise architecture, processoptimisation, and platform integration. 
  • Deep understanding of ERP- and CRM-supported processes, particularly sales, customer management, finance, and operations.

 
Qualifications & Experience 

  • 15+ years’ experience in ERP leadership roles, including ownership of large-scale enterprise platforms.
  • Strong hands-on leadership exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly CRM, with responsibility for roadmap, governance, and delivery.
  • Broader exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
  • Experience working in commercially driven environments supporting sales, customer, and revenue operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree ina relevantdiscipline; MBA or equivalent preferred. 
  • Relevant ERP / CRM certifications (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle Cloud desirable).
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP/CRM platforms and enterprise digital transformation.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Europe and the US.
