Channel Manager – Commercial & Industrial Solar & Battery 

Location: Dublin (Field-based and Office Based/ Installer-facing)

This programme is focused on scaling Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar and battery capability through a rapidly evolving installer ecosystem. 

This role outlined below is a core hire within this strategic growth initiative. 
 
Role Overview 
A market-leading energy technology provider is seeking a commercially driven Channel Manager to lead the acquisition, enablement, and scaling of installer partners across Ireland. This is a front-line, sales-led role, positioned at the earliest stage of the commercial cycle, focused on building channel capability, expanding C&I reach, and driving revenue growth through distributor and installer networks. The role is purely commercial — there are no marketing or customer support responsibilities
 
Key Objectives 

  • Grow the number of C&I-capable installers operating in the Irish market 
  • Expand active installer participation across commercial solar and battery projects 
  • Enable installers to deliver solar + battery solutions for enterprise and multi-site customers 
  • Drive revenue growth through distributor and installer-led sales models 

 
Key Responsibilities 
Channel Acquisition & Development 

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new installer partners across Ireland 
  • Segment installers by capability (Domestic, Light Commercial, C&I
  • Actively evolve installer capability toward larger commercial and battery-ready projects 

Installer Enablement & Scale 

  • Develop installer competence in C&I solar and battery solutions 
  • Support partners in progressing from light commercial into complex, higher-value projects 
  • Work closely with distributors and Value-Added Partners to enable execution 

Sales & Commercial Leadership 

  • Drive front-end revenue generation through installer and distributor channels 
  • Own performance against sales targets and commercial KPIs 
  • Influence installers focus toward battery attach, multi-site, and enterprise opportunities 

Market & Channel Insight 

  • Gather and share commercial market intelligence across the installer ecosystem 
  • Identify risks, capability gaps, and opportunities within the channel 
  • Support continuous evolution of the Irish channel strategy 

Market & Channel Context 

The Irish installer landscape currently consists of ~400 installers nationally, with limited true C&I capability today. Demand for solar plus battery solutions is accelerating across commercial, industrial, logistics, retail, and infrastructure sectors. 
This role is critical to unlocking scale, increasing battery adoption, and supporting enterprise customers through a robust installer-led model. 
 
Candidate Profile 

Essential Experience 

  • Proven sales or channel management experience within energy, renewables, or technology 
  • Strong track record of partner acquisition and relationship development 
  • Experience operating in commercially driven, target-led roles 
  • Ability to influence and enable partners in a fast-evolving market 

 
Desirable Experience 

  • Exposure to solar, battery, or distributed energy solutions 
  • Experience working with installers, distributors, or channel partners 
  • Understanding of Commercial & Industrial customer environments

  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a field-based role
