Overview
The Channel Manager role is a dynamic, front-line sales position focused on expanding the installer network within the renewable energy sector. This role is designed for professionals who excel at building relationships, driving new business, and delivering sales growth through proactive engagement with small-scale installers across Ireland. The position does not involve marketing or client support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Outreach & Relationship Building
- Proactively identify and approach potential installer partners throughout Ireland.
- Initiate contact and establish strong, trust-based relationships with installers.
- Present and introduce energy solutions to prospective partners, facilitating their engagement and onboarding.
Account Management
- Maintain ongoing communication with installer partners to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term collaboration.
- Support partners in understanding sales strategies, solutions, and best practices.
- Guide partners in the implementation of channel policies and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Partner Network Development
- Contribute to the growth and diversification of the partner network by targeting small-scale installers.
- Identify capability gaps within the partner ecosystem and design enablement programs to address them.
- Monitor the execution and effectiveness of partner enablement initiatives.
Sales Target Achievement
- Take responsibility for achieving assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive the implementation of sales strategies to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
Market Insights & Risk Management
- Gather and share commercial market and distribution industry insights to inform strategy.
- Carry out risk control measures to support business continuity and partner success.
Role Focus
- Sales-Driven: This is a pure sales role with no marketing or client support components.
- Front-End Sales Cycle: The position is situated at the initial stages of the sales cycle, focusing on lead generation, relationship-building, and business development.
- Installer Engagement: The primary objective is to expand the installer network and generate new business opportunities.
Performance Metrics
KPIs and Targets: Specific details regarding performance metrics, targets, and commission structure are determined by management and may be discussed during the interview process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated 5 years experience in sales, preferably within the renewable energy or technology sectors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze market trends and contribute to strategic planning.
