eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Project Manager – Telecommunications Infrastructure. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin 2. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major telecommunications and network infrastructure upgrade programme within a large, complex organisation.

This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to a Project Manager with experience managing telecommunications, network infrastructure, utilities or other large-scale technical infrastructure projects. You will coordinate multiple technical and business workstreams, working closely with engineering teams, operational stakeholders, third-party suppliers and technology vendors.

The programme operates within a critical national infrastructure environment, so strong governance, stakeholder management and the ability to manage dependencies across complex technical workstreams will be important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage telecommunications and infrastructure projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through delivery, testing, deployment and handover.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, network, operations, technology and vendor teams.
  • Manage RAID logs, dependencies, issues and project risks.
  • Track project progress and provide clear reporting to programme leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and technology vendors, ensuring agreed deliverables and timelines are achieved.
  • Coordinate infrastructure deployment, integration, testing and operational handover activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Work across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups to resolve delivery issues and maintain programme momentum.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Experience Required

  • Strong experience as a Project Manager within telecommunications, networking or technical infrastructure programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects involving multiple technical teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience managing projects involving network/infrastructure deployment, integration, testing and transition into operations.
  • Strong project planning, governance, risk and dependency management skills.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders and producing structured project reporting.
  • Strong supplier and vendor management experience.
  • Comfortable working in a large, complex and highly structured organisational environment.
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile or hybrid project delivery approaches.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience within utilities, energy or critical national infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering telecommunications infrastructure within a utility environment.
  • Knowledge of telecoms/network infrastructure supporting operational or engineering environments.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent recognised project management qualification.
  • Previous experience delivering major infrastructure transformation or network modernisation programmes.
