Senior BI Analyst

Location: Dublin – Hybrid Working Model
Duration:  12+ months contract highly extendable
 
Job Description
The key deliverables for the BI Analyst Role are:

  • Coordination and execution of data validation and acceptance testing activities, including support for migration and ongoing data pipeline releases
  • Monitoring and analysis of data quality, data integrity and data processing logs, identifying issues and supporting their resolution in collaboration with technical teams
  • Production of ad hoc analytical reports and data extracts to support:
    • Inspections and audits
    • Data validation and reconciliation activities
    • Investigation of data defects and anomalies
  • Support the identification, analysis and investigation of data issues, bugs and inconsistencies, including contribution to testing and resolution processes
  • Working with project teams to deliver business and technical documentation, including:
    • Data mapping documentation
    • Data transformation and validation rules
    • Supporting materials for audit and compliance activities
  • Support and inform the design of data migration and data integration processes, ensuring data quality, consistency and availability
  • Analysis of data across SQL-based and other enterprise data platforms, supporting reporting, validation and operational use cases
  • Development of Data Management Plans, including governance, data flows, controls and process mapping
  • Contribution to the design and documentation of logical and physical data models, where required to support reporting and analysis


Key Experience :

  1. Data Analysis, Quality and Validation
    • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and data quality assessment, including validation, reconciliation and anomaly detection
    • Experience supporting or coordinating data testing, acceptance processes and validation activities within data projects
    • Ability to analyse data processing outputs and logs to identify issues, trends and root causes
  2. Reporting and Analytical Support
    • Experience in the production of ad hoc reports, data extracts and analytical outputs to support operational, audit and inspection requirements
    • Ability to interpret data and present findings clearly for business and technical stakeholders
    • Experience supporting data investigations, bug analysis and data issue resolution
  3. Documentation and Governance
    • Experience in the development of business, technical and data documentation, including:
      • Data mappings
      • Data transformation logic
      • Validation rules and test evidence
    • Experience preparing documentation to support audit, compliance and data governance requirements
    • Experience contributing to Data Management Plans, including data flows, controls and governance structures
  4. Data Modelling and Process Understanding
    • Understanding of logical and physical data models and ability to document models using appropriate tools
    • Experience documenting data flows, lineage and process mappings across systems
    • Ability to work across multiple data domains and systems in a structured and methodical manner
  5. Data Querying and Technical Skills

  • Experience querying and analysing data using SQL (e.g. SQL Server and other relational platforms)
  • Ability to support data analysis across multiple data sources and environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
