E&I Lead – Athlone
eir business talent are currently partnering with a leading pharmaceutical client to recruit an experienced E&I Lead for a major project in Athlone.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile expansion programme within a GMP-regulated environment.
The Role
Reporting to the E&I Work Package Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the delivery of Electrical & Instrumentation installation activities on site.
You will play a key role as the client representative, ensuring all E&I works are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with quality, compliance, and GMP standards while coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 15+ years’ experience delivering E&I works on large-scale pharmaceutical projects
• Strong experience in GMP regulated environments
• Proven track record managing EPCM partners and subcontractors
• Experience acting as client representative on major construction projects
• Strong understanding of E&I systems across cleanrooms, HVAC, MEP, utilities, and process equipment
• Experience managing installation, quality, and compliance across full project lifecycle
• Strong experience coordinating with design, construction, and CQV/validation teams
• Proven experience managing system turnover from mechanical completion through to handover
• Strong risk management, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
• Professional certifications (PMP, Prince2, NEBOSH or equivalent) desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
