eir business talent are currently seeking applications for a Senior TechOps Engineer.This is a 6-month Fixed contract role supporting a critical go-live phase and ensuring secure, stable and resilient IT operations during the launch of a new warehouse facility.

Role Overview
The Senior TechOps Engineer will provide expert IT operational, technical and security support during the warehouse go-live and early operational period. The role is key to ensuring system stability, operational continuity, and strong security governance in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite and remote IT support during warehouse go-live and early operations
  • Maintain and secure Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD environments
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and operational standards
  • Manage device deployment, patching, and software updates using SCCM, Intune and AutoPatch
  • Respond rapidly to incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal operational disruption
  • Monitor, identify, and remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with security teams
  • Participate in security incident response and escalation processes
  • Document system changes, infrastructure updates and incident resolutions
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams, IT teams, security teams and vendors
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing
  • Automate operational and security tasks using PowerShell scripting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of security posture and operational efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Proven background in endpoint management and patching (SCCM, Intune)
  • Experience in IT security operations, including vulnerability management and incident response
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or large-scale operational environments (advantageous)
  • Strong PowerShell scripting capability
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Qualys or similar security platforms

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior IT operations or security operations roles
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Relevant Microsoft or security certifications are an advantage
