eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Microsoft Automation Developer. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin.

Our client is initiating a major Finance transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Developer to join at the earliest stage of the project. This is a strategic role for a specialist who combines strong solution design experience with hands‑on delivery capability across Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform.

Role Overview
As part of a new automation initiative within the Finance function, you will analyse complex business processes, contribute to solution architecture discussions, produce Low‑Level Designs, and build secure, scalable automation workflows using Azure, Power Automate, and Logic Apps.
This role suits a highly technical automation specialist with a developer background (ideally .NET), strong communication skills, and the ability to partner closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver enterprise‑grade workflow automation using Azure, Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Logic Apps, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Work at project initiation stage, contributing to architectural direction and shaping the end‑to‑end solution.
  • Analyse multi‑step Finance operational processes and translate them into structured automation workflows.
  • Produce high‑quality Low‑Level Design (LLD) documentation and maintain alignment with architectural standards.
  • Build workflows capable of ingesting emails, extracting documents, processing structured data, running Excel‑based models, triggering approvals, and generating reporting outputs.
  • Ensure all automation is designed with strong exception handling, monitoring, reliability, and security in mind.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure developed solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Provide user guidance, documentation, and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in Microsoft development, ideally including .NET, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 automation.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Power Automate (Cloud/Desktop), Logic Apps, Azure services, and enterprise automation delivery.
  • Proven experience contributing to solution design and producing low‑level technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations (Graph, PowerShell, REST).
  • Background in automating business processes, preferably within Finance.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Azure AI services or implementing AI‑enabled automation components.
  • Exposure to Finance operations or regulated environments.
